Home Care Powered by AUAF Food Pantry Donations
November 14, 2022As we settle into the holiday season, there is a communal desire to bring some warmth into the world. At Home Care Powered by AUAF, this is something we strive to do. Serving our communities is one of the core pillars of this organization—and we are lucky to work in so many diverse communities across the greater Chicago area with food pantry donations
From the South Side to Evanston, to Schaumburg, it’s our mission to give back to those in need, and food pantries allow us to do that. These organizations distribute food to families in need. Some may be based out of a convenient community location like a church or school. However, some have had the opportunity to expand into their own organizations.
We were thrilled to be able to donate to 35 different food pantries this year. These organizations include:
- Upper Room Pentecostal Church of God
- Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church
- Marillac House
- Salvation Army Harbor Light
- Niles Township
- Beyond Hunger
- St. Francis of Assisi Parish
- Almost Home
- The Village Pantry Collision
- Onward House Pantry
- Alive Church: Almost Home Chicago
- St. Celestine Catholic Church
- Cyprian Food Pantry

Choosing a pantry near you
Donating to your local food pantry is a great way to make a genuine difference in the lives of others. When you donate to an organization online, it can feel impersonal, and it’s rare you get to actually see the impact of your contribution. On the other hand, in giving to a food pantry, you know your donation is going directly to a family that needs it.
Donating to a food pantry is a great way to give back this holiday season. They are all spread across the greater Chicago area so you can support your local community by choosing whichever location is closest to you.
Nearly 30 years of supporting the senior community
For many seniors, aging in place is a dream, and that’s all they think it is. As their activities of daily living grow to be too strenuous, staying at home seems nearly impossible.
But this dream is within reach. For nearly 30 years, Home Care Powered by AUAF has supported older Illinoisans by offering experienced, compassionate caregivers. Our staff proudly assists with any non-medical activities of daily living clients require, such as personal care, medication reminders, and meal planning.
